Plant Diversity and Evolution (ISSN 1869-6155, e-ISSN 2363-7129)
Plant Diversity and Evolution (PDE) publishes original contributions to plant sciences from the fields of phytotaxonomy, systematics, morphology, anatomy and geobotany, ecology, synecology and their relationships to biogeography, plant distribution and dispersal.
Emphasis is on vascular plants. The editors also encourage the submission of papers on ontogeny and its genetic aspects.
All submitted manuscripts are subject to peer review.
The editors invite the submission of protologues, which have been a firm component of the journal since its foundation in 1880 as Botanische Jahrbücher. The journal was renamed to Plant Diversity and Evolution starting with volume 128 (2010).
Protologues submitted to Plant Diversity and Evolution are published in accordance with the rules of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (ICBN).
